All cheese sold through our website www.dutchcheeses.com comes from our own company in the Netherlands.
Cheese ordered by U.S. and Canadian customers will be sent through our distributor in New York. All orders are sent to our office in the Netherlands. The orders from the U.S.A. and Canada are subsequently passed on to our distributor in New York, where the orders are packed and shipped.
In the past, U.S. and Canadian orders were directly shipped from our location in the Netherlands to the United States and Canada, but this was very expensive and the shipment took too long.
Now we regularly send a number of pallets of cheese from the Netherlands to America and from there it is sent by UPS / USPS to the customer.
Currently we ship to: ANDORRA, AUSTRALIA, AUSTRIA, BELARUS, BELGIUM, BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA, BULGARIA, CANADA, CHINA, CROATIA, CYPRUS, CZECH REPUBLIC, DENMARK, ESTONIA, FINLAND, FRANCE, GEORGIA, GERMANY, GREECE, HONG KONG, HUNGARY, ICELAND, IRELAND, ISRAEL, ITALY, JAPAN, KAZAKHSTAN, NORTH KOREA, LATVIA, LIECHTENSTEIN, LITHUANIA, LUXEMBOURG, MACEDONIA, MALTA, MOLDOVA, MONTENEGRO, NETHERLANDS, NEW ZEALAND, NORWAY, POLAND, PORTUGAL, PUERTO RICO, ROMANIA, RUSSIAN FEDERATION, SERBIA, SINGAPORE, SLOVAKIA, SLOVENIA, SOUTH AFRICA, SOUTH KOREA, SPAIN, SWEDEN, SWITZERLAND, TAIWAN, TURKEY, UKRAINE, UNITED KINGDOM, UNITED STATES, SAN MARINO
Unfortunately not. However, you can always contact us via email@example.com and we wil see what we can do.
Edam and Gouda cheeses remain perfectly fine outside the refrigerator. When the cheese is hot, ‘sweaty’ or soft at delivery, simply put the cheese in the refrigerator and you will see that the cheese becomes ‘hard’ again (the heat during transport will not compromise the quality and / or the taste of the cheese).
After receiving our cheese it can be saved in the refrigerator for two months.
It is better not to freeze cheese because this is bad for the taste.
